Ross Allen

Ross Allen has been DJ since he was 15 –  thats a long time ago now !! It has taken him all over the world in his own right and with bands such as Sade, Massive Attack , Portishead, Zero 7 and the Arctic Monkeys. He has had residencies at most big clubs in his home city of London and has had one of the countries top alternative club radio shows for the last 30 years on BBC London, 6Music, Radio One, Ministry of Sound,  Mi Soul and currently weekly shows on both NTS and Soho Radio – winning many award for it along the way. 

He has also had a long career at the cutting edge of the music business with record labels (Filter/Island Blue/Casual/Meltdown and currently Foundation Music), as an A&R  (he has signed and made records with Chaka Khan Goldie, Sugarbabes, Talvin Singh, Lady Sovereign, Amy Winehouse, Tricky, The Heavy, Above & Beyond, The Orb, Shadowchild, DJ Shadow, Mark Pricthcard, Spacek, Jhelisa, The Kills,  Global Communications, Peshay, dBrdige, Coldcut, The Underwolves, Arthur Baker and Idris Elba) and as a manager (London Grammar, Lady Blackbird, KDA, Sunship, Zach Witness, Jeb Loy Nichols, Tawiah, Blue May, Afrikan Boy)

He is currently working at London Records with Goldie, Shadowchild, The Happy Mondays, The Brand New Heavies, Alewyah and The Busy Twist. Whilst hosting radio shows on weekly on Weds am on Soho Radio. He is Djing less regularly in clubs but still playing Glastonbury, Red Rooster and We Out Here Festivals and various one of gigs, and spending more time running his label and publishing company Foundation Music and making records with great artists like the ones listed above as an A&R for London /Because Records and other labels.
