Lascelle Gordon joins Mark Daley in the studio to chat about his life in music for Inspiration Information. He shares some of his favourite records and they talk about his time djing at the Wag and the Hacienda in the 80’s, his experiences in the heyday of Acid Jazz and Talkin Loud, as well as the music of Vibration Black Finger.
Mark plays some new and old music, including some superb new releases from Scrimshire, Yazz Ahmed, Sanyu, Moyses Dos Santos and Your Brothers Keeper with Gary Bartz. He plays a tune from his favourite Joni Mitchell album which was a nod to the incredible Haylie Davis who was on the show with Miles last week (check out the show if you haven’t already). It’s also always nice to play Pentangle on the radio.
