Wanderlust with Mariam Koloyan feat. Bob Harris (01/11/2025)
The most special episode we’ve ever had. This month, the Soho Radio airwaves were graced with the iconic tones of none other than the Whispering Bob himself – Bob Harris OBE. From broadcasting on the original Sounds of the 70s on Radio 1, to interviewing everyone from Queen to John Lennon on the Old Grey Whistle Test, to founding the iconic London magazine Time Out – Bob is truly a testament to the rebellious and pioneering decade of the 1970s
Listen back to our wonderful hourlong conversation where we talked about growing up in the post-war Midlands, the thrill and promise of moving to London in the swinging 60s, and how he went on to become one of the longest lasting and familiar voices on the radio in the UK and beyond. He also blessed us with a personal playlist of the music that made him the DJ, broadcaster and tastemaker he is.
