Now Nancy feat. Jessica Barton (24/01/2026)
Nancy kicks off 2026 by looking at the roles women are asked to perform – the parts we inherit, resist, parody and sometimes completely bin.
She’s joined by performer Jessica Barton to discuss her riotous show Dirty Work at Soho Theatre, which gleefully dismantles domestic labour and feminine “good behaviour”. Nancy then heads to the V&A for Marie Antoinette Style, exploring spectacle, excess and the making of a woman into a symbol, before finishing at Modern Art with Linder Sterling’s ‘Where the tongue slips it speaks truth’, cutting into myth, gender and desire.
Roles embraced. Roles resisted. Roles undone.
