This Friday, Morning Glory have a special mix from Palenque Records – a groundbreaking independent music label from Colombia, founded in 1996 by Lucas Silva, also known as DJ Champeta-Man. The label is devoted to preserving and promoting Afro-Colombian music, with a strong focus on the vibrant musical traditions of the Caribbean coastal region. Its name pays tribute to San Basilio de Palenque, a village founded by escaped slaves, now recognized by UNESCO for its rich cultural heritage.
